Madison Capitols Girls Hockey
The Madison Capitols offer one of the premiere hockey programs in the country. Our organization pioneered the first AAA program in Wisconsin and the first girl’s hockey club in the state to offer national bound level of play. The Capitol’s goal is to cultivate a group of young talented hockey players by exposing them to new levels of coaching, superior training, and the most competitive venues to showcase their talents. Becoming a Capitol will take your game to the next level.
Tryout Update - Selection Process
Thank you to everyone for attending the Caps Girls Tryouts.
We are reviewing all of the evaluations from the coaches and evaluators and will making decisions as quickly as possible. There were many talented skaters at all of the tryouts, so our selection process is a difficult one. Our intention is to contact everyone in the next 7-10 days (by May 22) or sooner if possible.
We will contact you by email when selections have been made.
Cap Ice to build new Dryland Facility
Cap Ice has announced plans to build a new dryland training facility to open this fall. The facility will be located adjacent to Rink B, just North of the current structure. There will be direct access to the new facilityfrom Rink B. The facility will include:
- Weight training
- 40 yd sprint track
- Shooting and stickhandling stations
- Team warm-up and stretching area
- More
This will allow for dryland training for Caps team in conjunction with each practice. Caps players will also be able to use the facility for individual workouts throughout the year.

U14 Upcoming Events
CHANGES TO U14 Madison Capitols Spring Hockey!
All skaters interested in U14 Spring Hockey please join us for single tryout event on Monday April 8th @ 810pm at Capitol Ice Arena. Practices on Monday nights through May 13th. Tournaments- April 26-28 Minnesota Meltdown and Independence Cup Classic. See U14 Calendar for specific practice times. Hope to see you there!
